i am so dead.

am stuck in some boring lects right now.
after lect, i still have to go back to lab.
argh! i hate flushing the damn column...
and becos i mixed up the solvent bottle yest,
i wasted 2 days of lab.
how stupid can i get.
been trying to flush the column the whole day and it doesnt seem right,
prof spotted my mistake.
i was really lucky he didnt scold me at all,
he still has the patient to explain stuff to me,
and helps me to fix things up.
even the postgrad was telling me that i was really lucky.
phew.
i think he's in a very good mood today.

i sleep a lot.
like really a lot.
im asleep most of the time during the weekend.
and when im awake, im either eating or online.
not studying.
and after im done with my eating, i go back to sleep again.
what is wrong with me man.
why do i need sleep and food constantly?
am i still growing or what....

yay to no lab on mon and tues!
felt quite relax ya,
it's like back to those good old days when i just come to sch for lects,
and go back home to sleep again after my classes end.
i definitely dont miss lab when im away from it.
last week lab was quite happening actually.
on thurs, liquid nitrogen starts to leak out of the tank, (turns into gaseous nitrogen due to pressure diff, but the gas phase is harmless).
i really thought the tank is going to explode, cos it's making a very loud hissing sound. quite scary.
and on fri, i did lab in sandals, and i went back to lab again after my lect, which ends at 9pm btw, to get some stuff done.
super sian!

haiz it's almost 2.30am.
still waiting for my restaurant to hit level 32. (when i should be studying.)
just a few more thousand points to go.
then i can finally stop playing RC for good,
and start my revision. haiz.
got to love RC ya,
it's such a cute, easy, and brainless game.
i dont even need to use my brains to think,
just leave the window on and my restaurant will run by itself.
haha..

sy!
i want to show u this.
hehe.
i know you are not a woo bin sunbae fan,
but heck, this totally made my day.
so i got to post it. :D

HAHAHAHAHA!

anw this is just an incoherent post.
think sch is sucking the remaining life (and brains, if there are any) out of me.
hur hur.

ok restaurant finally hits level 32.
good night!
yo!

Monday, September 07, 2009 9:05 PM
suddenly felt very nauseous.
turns out that my group is presenting next fri for the project.
so this morning i have been frantically looking for more journals to cross-reference,
cos i think the article that i have found really cmi.
goodness, i have never read so much journals in my entire life.
and i still need to read up on our topic that we are going to present.
i am so dead.

and i still cant start my project,
not until i have gotten some results on the phd student's work.
i only have tml and wed to try again, if not i would have to wait until next week.
cos a research fellow wants to use the instru too.
if i cant get anything, im gonna to stuck at this step forever?
wth, it's already week 5 man!
everyone has started on their project.
this is so eff-ed up!

if my cap is alright, i wouldnt even need to feel so stressed up.

really dont feel like going to sch tml.
tutorial from 2-3, which i havent done,
will try to finish it in lab tml.
lect from 6 to 8.
and during my free time, i will be in the lab.
my prof is starting to think im kinda stupid and slow.
haiz.
which is kinda true actually.
hopes weekend comes asap......

Thursday, September 03, 2009 1:20 AM
am watching youtube.
dont feel like sleeping yet though it's almost 1.30am.
i still cant get any results for lab (not my fyp, still havent started leh. omg).
what is wrong.
i dont know why i can get it for the first time,
when i tried it again, the peak refused to come out.
haiz really hope i can get sth out of it.
if the phd student use my data for her thesis,
i can get co-authorship for the paper.
think i will try again tml.
so everyday's been like:
go lab,
start my instru then follow by analysis,
set parameters
wash syringe, wash injector, draw sample from vials,
inject, wait for the results,
repeat the same process over and over and over again,
and things have become quite mundane and routine after a while,
i do the same thing everyday til i have become numb/desensitized or whatever you call it,
it's actually kinda worrying. haha..
cos.. it's only 1 month into fyp.

and.. i need the elemental analysis results to be out asap,
so that we can calculate the amount of reagent to add for my step.
why are the nmr ppl so slow,
it's been almost a week.
and i need to start studying, like NOW.....

Tuesday, September 01, 2009 11:57 PM
oh today is teachers' day,
didnt realise it til later part of the day.
i went to wish the masters student happy teachers' day,
cos she's a jc teacher, currently on leave to finish up her masters.
she's quite nice, always talking crap with me while im running my instru,
otherwise, i will just stone in front the instru for the entire day, or i will go play fb.

and it's already week 4,
and... i havent start on my project yet.
im really damn pek cek.
im still running the phd student's stuff, still cant get any results.
the phd students are incredibly SLOW man.
they are taking their own sweet time, cos they have years to do their project,
i only have until next year's march.
last week, she said she's going to add the reagent on mon/tues,
and until today, no discussion or whatsoever.
it's forever stuck at my step, how am i going to proceed?
the entire step needs 1 week to complete, and i want to do it by myself,
but it seems like the phd students' going to do everything by themselves.
i will have to go bug the prof tml.
im already a very slow person, and for a slow person to think that they are slow,
it really says a lot.
what to do, honours students are at the bottom of the food chain.
we always get bullied by postgrads and profs.
sighhh..
and i think im spending way too much time in lab,
so much so that i dont have the time to revise my modules.
i go to the lab everyday, stay in there for 7, 8 hours each day,
while others only go to lab 2, 3 times a week,
i think im way too slow.
